Staying at the oh-so-social Contiki Haus Schoneck, nestled in the Austrian Tyrol, this trip takes you through some of Europe's most breathtaking scenery. You’ll hike, bike and picnic your way across the alps – and with swim-stops, home-cooked meals and plenty of laughs, this trip is sure to get your heart racing in more ways than one.

Day 1: Hopfgarten Im Brixental

Hello there and welcome to the Alps! We’ll pick you up at Worgl Train Station (included transfer, baby!) and once we’ve all set down our bags at Contiki Haus Schöneck, we’ll kick off the trip officially with a welcome meeting conducted by your Trip Manager. After that, we’ll tuck into an included dinner – made fresh on-site with local ingredients. You’ve got a free night tonight too, so sit back, relax and get to know your fellow explorers.
Day 2: Hopfgarten Im Brixental (Including Saint Johann)

Fill up on a home cooked breakfast, before we set off to explore another nearby town for a hit of adrenaline. Here, you'll have the chance to swing through the trees - or explore the village on foot if that's not really your thing. After, we'll take a hike to the Eifersbacher Waterfall, before some free time in Saint Johann to grab a bite to eat with your new besties. Back to base for an evening to chill - did someone say trivia?
Day 3: Hopfgarten Im Brixental (Including Munich)

Rise and shine folks, today we’re taking a day trip across the border into Germany... Here in Munich, you’ll have the chance to join an included guided bike ride, where you’ll learn all about the city’s history and finish up at the Chinese Beer Garden – and sample traditional food and beverages to your heart’s content. Prefer to do your own thing? No biggie. You're free to check out the old town, the shopping streets and the university district. Tonight, why not wind down with dinner and drinks in the world-famous Hofbrauhaus? (It’d be rude not to after all.) Back in Hopfy, we’ll hit the hay and get ready for another day of Alpine awesomeness on the morrow. It’s a hard life…
Day 4: Hopfgarten Im Brixental

Another day, another picturesque hike with awesome people - and the chance to have lunch with a view. We'll take the gondola to the summit of Hohe Salve and check out the awesome views. You might like to have lunch up there, keep on hiking, or head back into town to grab a bite. The afternoon is yours to spend it as you wish - did someone say swimming in a gorgeous alpine lake? This evening, we'll have an included dinner followed by a sunset hike to really make the most of the mountain scenery.
Day 5: Hopfgarten Im Brixental (Including Haiming & Innsbruck)

We’ll start early this morning as we treat ourselves to more of the alps. Next stop? Haiming… Here in Haiming, you’ll have the chance to experience heart-pounding action with some white water rafting. After an included picnic lunch, we'll head back to the water for a second round of white water rafting - this time, on a slightly harder route. By the end of the day, you'll be a total pro. Next up, we’ll make our way to Innsbruck, where you’ll have some free time to explore the city and grab a bite to eat. Back in Haus Schöneck, you’ll have plenty of things to dream about tonight…

After conquering the village trails, it's time to explore Hopfgarten and beyond in a different way; this time on 2 wheels. Join us for a locally guided bike tour through the vibrant green trails, before cruising downhill for a well-earned BBQ lunch. Fancy one last adrenaline hit? You can opt for some tandem paragliding today, soaring over the alps for some peerless panoramas. Tonight, you can choose to join us for a farewell authentic Austrian dinner at a local restaurant. Pork knuckle, anyone?

Whether you take our complimentary transfer to Worgl or make your own way to your next destination, it's time to say goodbye to your new friends and Hopfgarten (which feels like a home away from home now, right?) How long has the tour company been trading?
In 1961, a guy called John Anderson founded Contiki in New Zealand. Whilst later bought by The Travel Corporation, the tour company had already been using the name ‘Contiki’ since its inception.
